Wagoe Chalets and Camping (CG)

Wagoe Chalets and Campground is situated on private property known as Wagoe Farm. There is something unique about this place. It is rustic and rugged and has an atmosphere all of its own, with a beautiful calm ocean one day, to thundering fireworks of ocean spray the next. A choice of Caravan, Camping and Chalet Accommodation is available at Wagoe Farm or the owners have Units available in Kalbarri.

The large campground has powered and un-powered campsites with plenty of room for tents through to motorhomes. Some shady spots are available and of coarse sun for those with solar. Amenities are basic but clean and the sheltered B.B.Q area is a great place to sit and enjoy a meal with other campers. Being so close to the ocean, the large campground, at times, can get quite blowy so some permanent fencing has been put up to help shield campers from the wind. If times are too windy for camping, you can always book one of the Self Contained Chalets.

There is no public access to the beach through Wagoe Farm only access for people staying in the Chalets/Camping Area. You will need a 4WD to drive to the beach from the Chalets and along the beach.

The magnificent views over the ocean, the magical sunsets and the relaxed and friendly atmosphere is the perfect place to rest up and recharge your batteries. If you need any additional supplies you may need the fully facilitated town of Kalbarri is only 20 min from Wagoe

ACCOMMODATION
The 2, 3 and newer 4 bedroom chalets that sleep from 5 to 9 people are located on the hilltop. Relax on the veranda as you watch the sun go down over the Indian Ocean, or the whales pass by on their long migration. You will need to bring your own linen, blankets, towels, food and refreshments or take a quick 20 min trip to Kalbarri to stock up on supplies.

HOW TO GET THERE
Wagoe Chalets are located on private property 23.5km south of Kalbarri via George Grey Drive (The coastal road going south). The property driveway is at 20.6km on the right then follow for 3km.

SITE ACCESS
Turn in at the Blue, Wagoe Chalets sign, follow the gravel road for 2-1/2klm and stop at the office on the right.

Fee is from $25/night per couple for unpowered sites and $30/night per couple for powered sites. $5 for an extra person.

QUAD  BIKE TOURS
Wagoe Farm is also the base for Kalbarri, Wagoe Beach Quad Bike Tours.Young or old, even those with a disability can experience a safe and enjoyable ride along the pristine beach. Ride your very own 4 wheel Quad Bike or Buggy assisted by an experienced guide on a tour that is designed for novices through to experienced riders. The two seater Quad Bikes and Buggies and one four seater Buggy are all automatic, comfortable and simple to operate. Enjoy complimentary refreshments and snacks as you marvel at the wildlife you see, the magnificent sand dunes and sensational views. Tours are very popular so its best to book in advance.

Wagoe is a fishing mecca of white sandy beaches dotted with dark patches of rock. With good deep water directly off Wagoe Beach it is the perfect location for reef fishing.

Take a 20 min drive to the resort town of Kalbarri at the mouth of the Murchison River.  It’s known for its seaside cliffs, estuary beach and wild pelicans.

Kalbarri National Park
Beautiful rocky gorges like the iconic Z Bend, named for a sharp bend in the river. The park’s coast is home to resident dolphins and seasonal humpback whales, seen from a boardwalk beside the Island Rock and Natural Bridge rock forms.
