The Ranch (CG)

Nestled in a gorgeous part of Victoria only 45 minutes from Melbourne CBD is 700 acres of pure beauty. The Ranch is the ideal spot for a weekend getaway or a week long stay and perfect for singles through to families who are looking for a relaxed bush camping experience with all the comforts of home. We are also a working horse agistment property with approx. 30 horses onsite and 1000 free range hens.

The spacious property offers you privacy and seclusion like no other. One of the most frequent questions asked is “will I be camping next to someone?”. Only if you choose – no one will be taking your view! Sites are all unpowered and camping is best suited to fully self-contained and self-sufficient campers including tent campers, caravans and motorhomes, and big rigs. Choose a shady spot under a tree or full sun if you want to make use of your solar.

There are toilets and hot showers as well as other facilities available for guests to use including a tennis court and access to the amazing pool area, BBQ, and the large poolside camp kitchen.

If you’re after a night of luxury, or a romantic weekend with that special person, then The Ranch has onsite Glamping Tents which would be perfect! The tents sleep two people, come with all linen and bedding supplied, and have full access to all the facilities.

For any essentials or medical needs, Melton is a short 10 min drive and well serviced with Woolworths, Coles, Doctors, and Chemist, etc as well as a train station.

HOW TO GET THERE
The Ranch is accessed directly off the Diggers Rest – Coimadai Road which is the main road between Toolern Vale and Darley. From Toolern Vale, head west for about 5.3km and the entrance will be on your left. From Darley, head north along Gisborne Road for about 4.6km then into Diggers Rest – Coimadai Road and follow for about 7.5km and the entrance is on your right.

SITE ACCESS
The entrance to The Ranch is on Diggers Rest-Coimadai Road through a gate made of white bricks. The gate is also marked with signs saying “Cornwall Park”. Follow this road straight ahead until you reach the end, on the right is the office where you can check in. If unattended you can also call Darren on 0478 157 955, who will direct you to the site.

FEES AND BOOKINGS
Camping fees are $25/night per person. Under 17 years are free of charge.
Glamping Tents are $110/night for two people.

THINGS TO DO
The nature surrounding The Ranch is amazing and ideal for walking along the trails and through the valley. There is plenty of land to explore so don’t forget to bring a bike and/or walking boots to make the most of the wonderful views, gullies, wildlife and bush trails! You can even bring your own horse.

Enjoy a game of tennis, bring your own equipment or rackets and balls are available for guests to use free of charge.

Cook up a delicious meal in the camp kitchen or take a dip in the newly built pool and soak up the sun on the deck.

Some suggested items to bring are a shovel, matches, toilet paper, garbage bags, tea towels, dish soap, bucket, insect spray and drinking water and there are taps at the camp kitchen for refilling.
