Ravenshoe Steam Railway evolved from the company called RAILCo, which grew out of the closure of the railway line between Ravenshoe and Atherton due to the declaration of World Heritage Listing of The Wet Tropics in 1988.
It is a non-profit Company, managed and operated totally by volunteers and your patronage and help is greatly appreciated as it preserves a piece of the town’s history.
The site which operates all year round is accessible by caravans, motorhomes, and big rigs and is suitable for tents. The pet friendly park has awesome and clean amenities with 26 powered and 24 unpowered sites, camp kitchen, hot showers, camp fire, drinkable water, ablution block with laundry tubs, and an onsite dump point.
