The Millmerran Showgrounds is an ideal location for camping. It’s only 3 or 4 kms from town and has plenty of level ground, scattered power points, and water at some points. The facilities are very clean and there is plenty of hot water. This is a great place to stay when looking for budget camping accommodation in the Darling Downs. As of 23/07/20, the location is only open for Fully Self Contained Vehicles.
You can enjoy the surroundings has to offer while still having access to amenities like supermarkets and pubs nearby. Plus with their clean and well-maintained facilities, you won’t have any complaints about your stay here either!
Many showgrounds offer affordable and convenient locations to camp, especially for larger RV’s. Many will also permit pets. However, many showgrounds are closed at certain times of the year due to the Annual Show or other events. It is always best to check their website or call ahead to avoid disappointment.
HOW TO GET THERE
Millmerran is between Toowoomba and Goondiwindi on the Gore Highway. The Showground entrance is on the Millmerran-Cecil Plains Road at the Northern edge of the town area.
