Lake Monduran Holiday Park (CP)

Lake Monduran Holiday Park is a great holiday destination situated at Lake Monduran. Only one hour from Bundaberg and 20 kilometres from Gin Gin, the park offers a range of accommodation options to suit all budgets and types including, camping and caravan sites, lakeview cabins, 3 bedroom houses and a houseboat.

Spacious grassed powered and unpowered sites are located in a natural bush setting and offer a true camping experience, Lake Monduran is also pet-friendly but conditions apply. The park is well facilitated with two camp kitchens, electric BBQ’s, picnic areas and outdoor firepits, as well as fishing facilities including a bait and tackle shop. There are free kids activities in school holidays and free mini golf or enjoy big barramundi fishing, boating, kayaking or watersports on the lake.

This is great place to catch up and enjoy a holiday with family and friends who aren’t the avid camper. Stay in the self-contained three bedroom holiday houses that sleep 8 and are perfect for larger families or choose a self-contained cabin with views to the lake. The peace and serenity and magical views are world class and so are the facilities with complimentary foxtel and wifi hotspots and DVD player’s in the cabins.

HOW TO GET THERE
Turn off the Bruce Highway into Monduran Dam Road 19km north of Gin Gin (A1/Route 3 junction/Hotel). From the north the turnoff is 80km south of Miriam Vale. Then follow Monduran Dam Road for 4.5km to the Park.

SITE ACCESS
At the end of Monduran Dam Road just enter the park and you will see the office on the left.

THINGS TO DO
Lake Monduran Holiday Park is a great holiday destination for those who enjoy big barramundi fishing, boating, swimming, skiing, canoeing and kayaking. For something different there’s the Booldoonda Tunnel Walk, the Mystery Craters or the Bundaberg Rum Distillery.

Bundaberg Rum Distillery
Let your senses run wild as you take a guided tour through the making of this famous Aussie Spirit, then sample a variety of Bundy mixes and Rum liqueur based drinks in the bar. It is then about 12km to the historic mining town of Mt Perry.

Mystery Craters
Halfway between Bundaberg and Gin Gin is Australia’s most baffling phenomenon known as the Mystery Craters. The oddly shaped craters have been featured on many documentaries including Unsolved Mysteries of the World, Getaway and  Ripley’s Believe It Or Not plus more.

Boolboonda Tunnel Walk
Located 30.09kms west of the park, the Boolboonda Tunnel is reported as being the longest unsupported tunnel in the Southern Hemisphere. You can choose to walk or drive through the tunnel which is 192 metres in length. After passing through the tunnel, the trail winds for 3kms back to the main road giving you a good sense of the terrain the trains had to battle through.
