Great place full of history.
Once a cattle station, Lake Mason is a 149,557ha reserve situated 50km north of Sandstone managed by Parks and Wildlife. The campground is accessible to motorhomes, caravans, camper trailers and big rigs with areas suitable for tents.
HOW TO GET THERE
You can get to this site by Two-wheel drive and large vehicles. It is around 200km from Leinster via Sandstone. The location information below has been checked by FRC at the time of publication as far as possible and may be used as a gps reference.

THINGS TO DO
The landscape is characterised by gently undulating terrain with an extensive salt lake system in the centre and several breakaways and low hills to the west and north.
The area around Lake Mason Homestead offers opportunities for bird watching, bushwalking, and camping. Simple facilities and barbecues have been provided and although untreated water is provided by a bore it is always advisable to bring your own drinking water.
