The Kapunda Tourist Park is nestled between the famous Barossa and Clare Valley wine areas and is the ideal place to visit if you’re into fine wines, copper mines and relaxing times. Only 80 klms from Adelaide, Kapunda is the oldest mining town in Australia and one of South Australia’s best kept secrets. You are sure to enjoy all the scenic walks and drives as well as exploring the many heritage opportunities available in the area.

The park is pet friendly and offers a modern and spacious setting with a range of camping and caravan sites, cabins and cottages. Situated in the heart of town in the historic Dutton Park area means the park is within close proximity to everything Kapunda has to offer. There are plenty of grassed and flat, shady powered and unpowered sites that suit tent campers through to those with motorhomes and big rigs.

The Kapunda Tourist Park boasts modern amenities that are clean and well maintained, all of which are listed below. The golf coarse is situated adjacent the park and there are tennis courts, a skate park, swimming pool and a playground and picnic area all within a short walking distance.

If your looking for a night out of the van or to catch up with family and friends who aren’t the avid camper, there is also a large range of onsite cabins and cottages available to suit all budgets and styles.

Your hosts Emma and Brad are friendly, welcoming and will ensure your stay is hassle free. They will happily give you advice and handy hints on the local tourist attractions and all the best places to visit, like conquering the nearby Mawson and Heysen walking trails.

Kapunda is well serviced for any of your essential or medical needs including a  foodworks, chemist, mechanics, bakeries, hardware and service stations plus more. Nuriootpa is only 22 klm for the larger supermarkets such as Coles, Costco and Aldi.
