Set on a picturesque 300 acre privately owned farm, just 3kms from the quaint little country town of Goomeri, is Goomeri Caravan and Bush Camp. Centrally located to many tourist attractions, the campground is the ideal spot to relax and bask in the beauty of nature and wildlife after a day exploring everything the South Burnett Region has to offer.

Owners Ron and Carol O’Connell, opened up their farm to campers and travellers in 2015 offering spacious unpowered sites in a secluded and tranquil setting with an abundance of wildlife. The campground is situated 1.7kms from the highway entrance and nestled along the Nangur Creek amongst some of the most picturesque countryside in the area, ensuring you will enjoy a peaceful and relaxed country camping experience.

The campsites are pet friendly and set on a large flat creek bed boasting plenty of shade and surrounded by rolling hills perfect for an early morning stroll. New, clean and well maintained amenities are available with the full list of facilities below. Their brand new, true-blue, Aussie camp kitchen is a beauty. It’s built with old telegraph poles, open beams, hardwood benches and bars and it truly reflects the amazing setting of the campground. The camp kitchen has a fridge, washing up facilities, a BBQ, tables and seating that are all available for campers use.

There are fire rings are on every campsite and you’re free to collect firewood from around the property or it’s available for purchase and delivered to your door. When evening sets, why not venture up to the communal campfire to meet and share a yarn or two with other campers.

HOW TO GET THERE
Goomeri is only 3 hours NW of Brisbane. As you are entering the region of Goomeri from Kilkivan, look for the sign when you are 3kms East of Goomeri. You then drive in 2.5kms from the entrance to the camp grounds. The campground is 3km from Goomeri on the way to Kilkivan

SITE ACCESS
A large Campground sign is at the front of the concealed entrance. Follow the all weather road for 2.5km to the campground and pull up at the office which is straight ahead in front of the owners house. If arriving too late just park up and they will catch in the morning.

Fees are $15/night for 2 people
Additional Adult – $7.50/night
Additional Child – $5/night (5-17) Under 4 are free.

$14/couple per night for 1-5 sites;
$13/couple per night for 6-10 sites;
$12/couple per night for 11-18 sites;
$10/couple per night for 19+ sites

THINGS TO DO
Take a quiet stroll around the property and you may see some koala’s, kangaroo’s, possums, kookaburras, beautifully coloured lorikeets, magpies, cockatiels and more.

Enjoy push bike riding, picnics and walking the trails up and over the hills or walk along the creek where you may see and hear the many native birds nestled in the trees.

If you want to venture away from the camp then add the nearby tourist attractions to your calendar for a perfect holiday vacation.

Eumundi Markets
Open Saturdays and Wednesdays no matter the weather.
The Eumundi Markets are known as one of the biggest and best arts and crafts markets in Australia and is well known for its locally made artisan treasures.

South Burnett Wine Trail
Explore the marvellous area known as Queensland’s largest wine region, home to biggest vineyards and over a dozen wineries.

Boat Mountain Park
Relax and enjoy nature in this small park with two lookouts for views over the surrounding countryside. It has a distinctive flat-topped ridge shaped like an upturned boat is covered in dry rainforest and open eucalypt woodland.

Goomeri Memorial Clock
Known as ‘Clocktown’, the clock is the landmark of the town, a memorial to the local men who died in the two major World Wars.

Kinbombi Falls
Famous haven with a large picnic area and barbecues, close to Goomeri. It has walking track up to the top of the gorge with awesome views and another that leads to a natural pool.
