Glen Erin Bush Camp only 30 min North of Proserpine and 10 min South of Bowen is a true hidden gem of Whitsunday Region Camping, Qld. Located on a working Mango farm, enjoy the hospitality of Lyn, the owner. She is hugely famous for her damper also. The pet-friendly location has options for approximately 15 powered and unpowered sites, and there are rooms on-site that can be rented as well if you have no vehicle with self contained facilities.
Lyn provides some great facilities including a camp kitchen & dining area, fire pits, gas bbq, toilets, showers, coin-operated laundry, clothesline and a dump point.
HOW TO GET THERE
You will need to turn off the Bruce Highway. Turn into Mookara Road (there should be a sign with the name on it, 4klm). After about 800m, a dog leg right then keep driving straight. You will come to a fork, veer left. Another 500m, a dog leg left, then about 50m on the right, take the turn. Drive for appox 1klm and the entrance will be on your right. Drop for about another 1klm to find the bush camp.
