Coronation Beach is one of the most attractive and popular beaches along the Mid West Coast with both locals and visitors alike. It is considered to be one of the finest windsurfing locations in the world, and outside the windsurfing season Coronation Beach is popular with older visitors, many from interstate. Because of its popularity and attractiveness it is regarded as being a tourism asset of regional significance.
Coronation Beach Campground has limited facilities which includes picnic shelters, pit toilets, a shower cubicle, communal gas barbecue in the day use area. The area is accessible to caravans and motorhomes and can become very popular during Peak Season with sites becoming unavailable quickly. Campers are required to bring their own supplies and generators are welcome, however, conditions apply.
HOW TO GET THERE
The signmarked turnoff for Coronation Beach is located approximately 28 kilometres north of Geraldton along the North West Coastal Highway with the 8 kilometre stretch of road to the campsite sealed all the way.

THINGS TO DO
Coronation Beach is a popular spot for amateur fishermen and crayfishermen. Fish from the beach or boat. It is also internationally renowned for windsurfing all year round. With cross onshore winds, Coronation Beach is one of the world’s best locations for wave jumping and well worth a look.
With over 200 species of birds within the Shire, there are many places to catch a glimpse or photograph species such as Ospreys at Coronation Beach, the endangered Black Carnaby Cockatoo at Nukara, Black Swans and Mountain Ducks at Noondamurra Pool. Rare Mallee Fowl can also be found in the Wandana Reserve east of Yuna.

Wildflowers – As the Chapman Valley Shire covers a vast area there is a huge diversity in wildflower species during wildflower season [between the end of August and beginning of September]
Chapman Valley Museum – Located in the heart of the Nanson Hamlet the Chapman Valley Museum is a treasure even visiting anthropologists cannot resist. Open Wednesday’s 9am until 12pm and Sundays 1pm until 4pm.
Historic Churches
Chapman Valley is also home to some beautiful historic Churches, including one designed by Monsignor Hawes, which is featured in a Monsignor Hawes trails guide.
