Conto Campground has 116 camp sites nestled amongst the coastal peppermint woodland. The campground has a range of site types catering for tents through to sites suitable for large caravans and camper trailers.

The Cape to Cape walking track is directly accessible from the campground and nearby Conto Springs Beach is a great place to relax, or to go surfing or fishing. The coastal headland scenery is stunning and most of it is accessible to two-wheel-drive vehicles.

SITE ACCESS
Conto Road off Caves Road, 19km from Margaret River.

Please note: GPS Co-Ordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

The campground, and the whole of the South West Capes area, is very popular during school holidays and weekends from October to April, particularly public holiday weekends. Be prepared with an alternative place to stay at these times in case there is no suitable site(s) available.

We cannot give any guarantee of availability of camp sites and we cannot respond to enquiries for specific availability information.

FACILITIES
Toilets, picnic table, Sheltered BBQ.

THINGS TO DO
A sandy track suitable for 2WD vehicles leads from the campground to a number of places with limited parking and foot-only access to beaches and rocky shores and the Cape Freycinet Sanctuary Zone of Ngari Capes Marine Park. Fishing is not permitted. The stunning beaches, cliffs, coastal scenery and caves of the area provide a host of opportunities for bushwalking, swimming, snorkelling, diving, rock climbing and, in appropriate zones, fishing

GUIDELINES
Campfires are usually permitted, in the provided fire rings only, between April 15 and November 30 but fire restrictions may be imposed at any time and without notice. Bring your own firewood. When fire restrictions are in place campfires must not be lit and any appliance powered by burning solid fuel must not be used. Always comply with any instructions at campgrounds and parks.
Campers’ own liquid or gas fuel barbeques, stoves and heaters can be used at any time, unless a total fire ban has been declared (see Department of Fire and Emergency Services).
Generators are not permitted in any part of the campground.
Campers’ are encouraged to follow the simple principles of Leave No Trace to minimise the environmental impact of their visit.
Very few campgrounds have waste bins – take all waste with you when you leave.
