Many showgrounds offer affordable and convenient locations to camp, especially for larger RV’s. Many will also permit pets. However, many showgrounds are closed at certain times of the year due to the Annual Show or other events. It is always best to check their web site or call ahead to avoid disappointment.
Free camping is available at the Collinsville Showgrounds for up to 73 hours. The camping ground offers space for up to 15 campers. Right across the Showgrounds, you can find the popular Workers Club which has shower and toilet facilities that you are welcome to use free of charge. A coin operators laundry facility, a clean water tap for drinking water and a free dump point are also available. Alternatively, the Collinsville Weir also has free camping facilities located only 26km from Collinsville.
