Charlies Flat is right on the banks of the Murray River. It features 16 separate, individual camp sites.
All sites are suitable for small tents (up to 3m x 2.5m floor area). Three can accommodate a regular size campervan (up to 6m x 3m) and one is also suitable for a large campervan or regular size caravan or camper trailer. (A large campervan is up to 8.5m x 4.5m fully expanded. A regular caravan or camper trailer is up to 7.5m x 4.5m, fully expanded, including draw bar).
Dogs are permitted in Lane Poole Reserve. They must be on a leash at all times.

SITE ACCESS
16km from Dwellingup via Lane Poole Reserve entry station, Nanga Road.
Please note: GPS Co-Ordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Per night: $8 adult per night, $6 concession card holder per night, $3 child per night (over 5 and under 16 years)
Bookings for this Park are online only: https://parks.dpaw.wa.gov.au/park-stay

Online booking is essential for camping at any time. Bookings can be made up 180 days (approximately six months) in advance, for up to 12 persons and up to three camp sites. One person may not hold concurrent bookings.
As there is no mobile phone and data service at the reserve, SAME DAY BOOKINGS CANNOT BE MADE, book at least one day in advance.
If a camp site is listed as suitable for two tents, one single larger tent may not be used as alternative due to the position of trees and other vegetation.

This Park, like many National Parks in Western Australia require park access fees. For full details on both camping fees and park or annual passes refer to https://parks.dpaw.wa.gov.au/park-stay

FACILITIES
Drinking water is not available, campers must bring enough for their own consumption. Toilets are non-flush. Wash basins and showers are not provided. Each site has a picnic table and benches and a fireplace with a barbeque plate.

THINGS TO DO
Swimming, fishing, canoeing and kayaking the Murray River
Steps at the ‘day use’ area provide access to the river for campers and other visitors for swimming and launching canoes and kayaks.
The river level can rise quickly after rain, with fast-flowing white water and slippery rocks creating conditions suitable only for skilled and experienced kayakers and canoeists.
Bushwalking and cycling:
Lane Poole Reserve offers many opportunities for bushwalking and cycling, including the King Jarrah Trail and Bibbulmun Track for walkers and Munda Biddi and Waterous trails for cyclists.

GUIDELINES
Campfires are usually permitted, in the provided fire rings only, between April 15 and November 30 but fire restrictions may be imposed at any time and without notice. Bring your own firewood. When fire restrictions are in place campfires must not be lit and any appliance powered by burning solid fuel must not be used. You must always comply with any instructions at campgrounds and parks.
Campers’ own liquid or gas fuel barbeques, stoves and heaters can be used at any time, unless a total fire ban has been declared (see Department of Fire and Emergency Services).
Campers’ own generators may be used between 8am and 9pm only. There is no electric power supply at the campground.
Vehicle parking for tent campers is immediately adjacent to tent spaces. Some sites have parking for a single vehicle only, others for two vehicles or one vehicle and one small trailer (up to 6m x 3m, including draw bar).
The site for a large campervans, regular caravan or camper trailer has parking for one vehicle only: the campervan or the towing vehicle.
Campers’ are encouraged to follow the simple principles of Leave No Trace to minimise the environmental impact of their visit.
Very few campgrounds have waste bins – take all waste with you when you leave.
