Located in the small township of Carinda, NSW, and the perfect stop off point between Walgett and Nyngan, is the Carinda Hotel, which is famous for featuring in a David Bowie 80’s film clip ‘Lets Dance’. Now under new ownership, Carinda Hotel offers travellers free camping, pub, and cabin accommodation and boasts delicious meals, cold beers, and genuine friendly country hospitality.

Free camping is available at the back of the hotel and is best suited to those who are self-sufficient or fully self-contained. There is no time limit for your stay and campers are free to use the hotel showers. The sites are flat, grassy, and unpowered although there are two slab sites with 10 amp power available if you need. If you want to stretch the legs and have a night out of the van, the hotel also offers a range of comfortable pub rooms and cabins.

Open every day from 12 noon, The hotel offers good old fashion country hospitality with a new menu available for lunch & dinner, so why not take a break from cooking and enjoy a delicious pub meal.

With a variety of tap or bottled beer, spirits or wine at the hotel, you might like to share an ice cold drink and a chat with one of the friendly locals or get your photo taken against the famous Bowie wall.

The hotel is a short walk from the town pool and a park with a playground for the kids is also close. Every Wednesday, the hotel has a variety of Fresh Veggies and Groceries available for you to purchase.
