If you’re in Melbourne’s northern suburbs and need mechanical work done on your vehicle or RV, Barry Gardner Automotive can help. The family-owned business has been trading for more than 15 years and has an experienced team of mechanics together with the latest in diagnostic and repair equipment.

Their large workshop has six vehicle hoists to enable them to carry out all types of mechanical repairs and maintenance, including log book servicing, steering and suspension issues, brake repairs, EFI servicing and tuning, and cooling system or radiator problems, and they can also supply and fit new tyres. They use quality parts from companies such as Pedders, Monroe, Bendix, Wynn’s, Bond Batteries and Maxxis Tyres, and they are a VACC member.

For travellers, Barry Gardner Automotive can take care of caravans as well, getting brakes and other mechanical or electrical issues sorted. They also provide batteries, solar systems and towing equipment. If you’re an FRC Premium Club Member, you can receive 5% off labour when you show your membership card.

HOW TO GET THERE
Hawker Street is off Matthews Avenue, which runs beside the Tullamarine Freeway (M2). If travelling north on the freeway, take the Melrose Drive exit, then turn left onto Matthews Avenue.

If travelling on the Western Ring Road, take the Airport Drive exit, turn right onto Sharps Road, right onto Melrose Drive, then right onto Matthews Avenue.

Alternatively, the southern end of Matthews Avenue intersects with Keilor Road.

SITE ACCESS
There is some parking available in the street and a small car parking area in front of the workshop. If you’re towing a caravan or driving a motorhome, call ahead to make sure they have some space for you.
