Avondale Homestead Tavern, located at 26km North West of Bundaberg offers a free camp which appears to be passed by by many due to its close proximity to the larger towns.
The site is an old roads gravel pit behind the Tavern with a level cleared area suitable for all rigs. Road noise is minimal since it is located 500 metres from the main road, great location for checking out the stars at night since there is very little ambient light. You may also enjoy a meal or a cold beverage inside the tavern.
HOW TO GET THERE
Avondale Tavern is 26km North of Central Bundaberg on Rosedale Road at the turnoff to Avondale via Avondale Road.

THINGS TO DO
Numerous landscapes and seascapes are found in the vicinity of Avondale just down stream of the Mouth of Kolan River Conservation Park. Since it is close to Bundaberg, there are few of tourist attractions to enjoy including Railway Museum Bundaberg and Fairymead House Sugar Museum.
