FRC PREMIUM CLUB MEMBERSHIP & APP
Over the last 5 months, we have been working hard on getting the Free Range Camping App ready for release with our Premium Club Membership. We are happy to say, we are not far off. We are just finalising a few of the finer points and are nearing the home stretch.
Mind you, it doesn't help that we have had wild weather in Queensland and New South Wales which has put us out of action for a while, but we are back on track so stay tuned for more updates shortly.

EX TC DEBBIE
Last week saw Ex-Tropical Cyclone Debbie inundate the East Coast of Australia. First it bought down a tree at FRC HQ and left us without power for 5 days. Then it found Honky in northern New South Wales. We were at Murwillumbah and moved to higher ground, to a location that was safe during the 1954 floods. The highest every recorded. Unfortunately, these floods broke all records. Unable to escape once the warning to evacuate was given, we sat it out thinking we were safe, overnight we got hammered with wind and rain and awoke to find water had entered Honky and was rising fast.
Thankfully the SES & NSW Fire Service came to the rescue and we were airlifted out, leaving all our belongings behind. We have since returned, and 'Honky' has taken some damage and in need of repairs, but thankfully we are safe and sound.
We would like to express a heartfelt thanks to all the emergency workers from the SES, NSW Fire Service and any one else that assisted during this difficult time for so many people across the East Coast of Australia.
We feel blessed to have got out relatively unscathed, as so many others have suffered so much more. Our hearts and thoughts go out to all those who have lost so much.

ON THE RISE – CARAVAN PARKS AND PERMANENT HOUSING IN EAST MAITLAND
The council has started seeking the public's approval for a new caravan park in East Maitland. A 13.5 hectare land owned by Dennis Wilton will be developed into a secluded landscape for caravans and downsizing people who needs more affordable accommodation. The council also sees possibilities of creating a small village here. The plan is supported by the Councilor and Mayor of Maitland.
