More InformationThis is the 7 seat model, and comes with Road Master Sterling All Terrain A-Frame Trailer. A prefect camping companion vehicle, already set up for flat towing and off-road camping. It is a 6 cylinder true rail 4WD so it will go just about anywhere for a vehicle of it size. We have used it to tow behind our motorhome for the last 2 years but now have a change of circumstances.
Comes with or without the A-Frame trailer, but will consider selling them separate.
Manual. 203927 km
It is quite roomy, and is the 7 seat model, however we have sacrificed the 2 back seats and in their place have installed a camping box, complete with slider and heavy duty drawer runners that will fit a medium sized 12v fridge. There is also a large drawer for storage or camping gear. This can easily be removed and it can be used as a 7 seater again.
There is a fancy DVD GPS device fitted only recently with a pop out screen and a big LED driving light bar at the front. It has a tow bar fitted which includes electric wiring.
The tyres are almost brand new and only replaced in October last year so they still have lots of tread on them. Inside is clean, seats are cloth and in good condition. No dogs and we don’t smoke. The roof racks are fitted and handy if you wanted to carry a pod on the roof.
It is powerful being a V6 however I am not going to profess it is in immaculate condition. It comes complete with minor dings and scratches, but we are not charging any extras for those.
It is well travelled but still drives well and most importantly NO RUST. Not sure what it did before us, but we have not had it on the beach or through water, but I would say it has not done much beach work.
It does however have a few things that will need attention, so for this reason we will be selling as is and without a road worthy certificate.
There are two small oil leaks, one in the sump and one at the top. The one at the top is only minor, however it drips oil onto the manifold and causes a burning oil smell. The other is a bigger job. It also has a cracked windscreen that will need replacing prior to a roadworthy being obtained.
The mechanic has advised us everything could be fixed for under $1000, unless you are mechanically minded and capable of doing them yourself which would then only require parts. I.e. New Seals, and the windscreen which on its own is about $250
It is currently registered until May, so you can drive it, but we have allowed for repairs in the price and will be selling unregistered.
The A-frame Trailer is one of the best on the market and makes it very easy to take the car on and off. It is non-binding with quick release arms, that stop it locking up folds back onto the motorhome when you are not using it, so there are no storage issues. It also comes with the plate that bolts to the car which is usually purchased separate. It can be used on other makes of vehicles with minor modifications to existing brackets.
